As of Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 Dorothy’s Dancing Unlimited will be taking our final bow

Dear DDU Dance families,

 

I hope this letter finds you well. It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you of a significant decision that I have made after much deliberation. I acknowledge the following information may cause disruption in your lives, and apologize for that. With that said, after 40+ years of dedicated service to the community, Dorothy’s Dancing Unlimited will be closing its doors at the end of December 2024.

 

This decision has not been made lightly, and comes after careful consideration of various factors—primarily low enrollment. We are unable to compete with all of the other activities that kids are enrolled in (sports, cheerleading, gymnastics, etc.) and it has taken a toll on us financially.

 

My teachers and I want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support throughout your time with us. It is our sincere hope that you/your children are able to continue to experience the beauty of dance elsewhere, and that this form of artistry remains a part of your and your children’s lives.

 

It has been an honor to teach you/your children. We are so proud of every single one of our students and the progress each of them has made during their time at the studio. For the parents who danced with us as young children, who have now grown into adults and brought their own children to dance with us: this touches me in a way that is difficult to put into words. For every parent who has trusted us with the artistic development of your child: thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

 

While we are very saddened to bid farewell to the business that so many of us have called home and devoted so much of our lives and time to, we are grateful for the memories and experiences we have shared. We will always cherish the meaningful relationships we've built over the years and all the lives that Dorothy’s Dancing Unlimited has touched over the decades. We would like to thank you for being a part of our journey. This has been an experience of a lifetime!
